The goal of endodontic (root canal) treatment is to save a tooth!!
Endodontics is the sciences about the normal dental pulp, the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of pulp diseases. Endodontic (Root canal) treatment is a procedure used to treat infected tooth pulp and avoid tooth to be extracted. Root canal therapy is not only for toothache relief, but also to prevent the possible damage of surrounding periradicular tissues.
Before the treatment is done, clinical and radiographic examinations should be carried out to have correct diagnose and treatment plan. Treatment should be performed under the isolation using rubber dam to prevent bacteria contamination. Root canal treatment involves:
1. Local anesthesia is gave to make the procedure pain free.
2. Previous restoration and caries removal and chamber opening were performed under rubber dam isolation. Canals negotiation.
3. Cleaning and shaping the root canal system.
4. 3D homogenous obturation of root canal system.
5. Direct restoration with composite resin or indirect restoration with a crown. -
Division of Periodontology

The periodontics division is a specialty division providing non-surgical and surgical therapy for gum diseases around the teeth or dental implants.
Individuals who have gum disease are the primary patients of periodontists. However, patients with a missing tooth that would like a dental implant may also see a periodontist in conjunction with restorative dentists.
